5 DEAD: DOCTOR, HIS WIFE, AND 2 GRAND CHILDREN KILLED IN SHOOTING

5 people have died as a result of a mass shooting on April 7, 2021 in York County, South Carolina. Dr. Robert Lesslie, 70, and his wife of 35 years Barbara Lesslie, 69, were both found in the home and died as a result of gunshot wounds, as well as their 2 grandchildren Adah Lesslie, 9, and Noah Lesslie, 5.

James Lewis was working at the home and died from gunshot wounds too, all on Marshall Road. A sixth person was hospitalized with serious gunshot wounds from the same shooting.

A suspect wearing a black hoodie and camouflage pants broke into the home of Dr. Lesslie and shot dead all 5 people on site. The suspect ran and hid in a nearby home, it took an hours long search and near lock down before the suspect was found and arrested.

Dr. Lesslie worked at Riverview Medical Center. Dr. Lesslie has been practicing medicine in South Carolina since 1981, according to his website. He received his degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and has worked in the surrounding Rock Hill area and in Charlotte.
