200 HIV INFECTIONS, 8458 CHLAMYDIA CASES IN MECKLENBURG COUNTY FOR YEAR 2019

Thousands of STD cases were reported to the NC Department of Health and Human Services in 2019.

STD’s in Charlotte, NC and in the rest of Mecklenburg County saw a high number for the year 2019. Many people have STD’s that go untreated because they don’t know they have them.

But there are many cases of STD’s that get reported.

Mecklenburg County saw 200 HIV Disease cases in 2019. There were 49 AIDS cases reported. The numbers get worse, as there were 8,458 Chlamydia cases in Mecklenburg County for the year 2019.

Oh and lets not forget Gonorrhea. There were 2,774 Gonorrhea cases in the year 2019 for Mecklenburg County. Some people can get arrested if they are court ordered to get an STD test and refuse to do so.

Mecklenburg County had an Hepatitis A outbreak in the year 2019.

There were a total of 9,287 cases of Chlamydia for the entire year of 2018 in Mecklenburg County. That does not include the 3,244 total cases of Gonorrhea for 2018.

In 2019 a Waffle House in South Carolina was shutdown due to an employee infected with Hepatitis A.
