$11 MILLION METH BUST DISCOVERED IN FLOOR OF 18-WHEELER TRUCK

Date:

Methamphetamine valued at $11,618,000 was hidden in a commercial trailer truck arriving from Mexico at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility in Pharr, Texas.

On Nov. 13, 2020, a tractor/trailer containing a commercial shipment of fresh broccoli arrived at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge. A officer referred the conveyance for further inspection, including a non-intrusive imaging examination.

Officers continued with the secondary inspection and ultimately they discovered that the trailer contained packages of narcotics. Officers removed 330 packages of methamphetamine weighing 581 pounds from within the trailer’s floor.

The meth was seized along with the tractor/trailer. The case remains under investigation by agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations.
