LATINO GANG MEMBER ARRESTED IN STASH HOUSE

Fidel Alexis Lopez-Mendoza, 20, was arrested at a illegal immigrant stash house in Laredo, Texas. Fidel is a criminal gang member from the Sureno gang.

The arrest occurred during the evening of June 2, 2021 when Border Patrol agents responded to a request for assistance from the Laredo Police Department at a stash house. 

Several undocumented immigrants were found at the stash house. Fidel is a Mexican national and a member of the Sureno Gang. He has a criminal history that includes robbery, battery, interference with emergency communication, and theft of property out of Benton, Texas. 

Fidel is being held by the U.S. Border Patrol pending criminal prosecution for his immigration violations. He will be remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service.
