Border Patrol (RGV) agents arrested 23 illegal immigrants located inside water drainage systems in Texas on September 28, 2021.
Border Patrol agents encountered shoe prints of three people entering a drainage pipe in Brownsville, Texas. Authorities found three illegal migrants and arrested them as they exited the drainage system.
The migrants stated that all members of their group were accounted for and were in good health.
Later on, agents also received information that there were illegal immigrants traversing the drainage system in Hidalgo, Texas. Agents responded to investigate and requested assistance from the Hidalgo Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety. In total, authorities arrested 20 illegal immigrants who were found to have used the drainage system to enter the United States.
