Border Patrol agents shut down a stash house in Laredo, Texas on December 21, 2021.
Laredo Sector Intelligence agents acted on information regarding a possible stash house. A search of the residence led to the discovery of nearly 40 undocumented immigrants from the countries of Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador, and Honduras. All were taken into custody and medically screened before being processed accordingly.
Illegal immigrant stash houses are a threat to national security and a threat to the people in communities because of the lack of sanitary conditions in the stash houses which can foster a breeding ground for illnesses or other communicable diseases.
