U.S. Border Patrol agents discovered the bodies of three deceased people in South Texas. The deceased were likely entering the United States from Mexico.

On August 22, the Border Patrol station responded to a report of a deceased person in the Rio Grande near Havana, Texas. The U.S. Coast Guard and La Joya Fire Department assisted in the recovery of the deceased from the water.

Two days later, a U.S. Coast Guard river unit patrolling the Rio Grande near Mission, Texas, informed the Border Patrol that they had encountered a deceased person. The deceased was recovered from the river.

In both cases, a local Justice of the Peace ordered the deceased to be transported to the county morgue.
