An altercation between sisters occurred in the Hidden Valley neighborhood. The suspect had a crack pipe with white residue on it
Chernel Vann, 24, was arrested on June 18, 2026 just one day before the popular Juneteenth holiday. Chernel got into a fight with her sister. Juneteenth had a lot of deaths and violence this year in Charlotte.
The altercation was in the troubled Hidden Valley neighborhood on Yuma street. Chernel had been banned from the residence, but she still showed up to ask her sister Perada Vann for a ride.
Perada told Chernel no. Chernel is then accused of throwing a glass vase at her sister Perada’s leg. Police were called and Chernel was identified as a banned person from the property.
Officers were searching Chernel and allegedly discovered a glass crack pipe with white powdery residue inside of her purse.Chernel was arrested charged for trespass and narcotic paraphernalia.
