METHAMPHETAMINE WORTH $1.8 MILLION SEIZED FROM TRAILER

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted a trailer containing methamphetamine with an estimated street value of more than $1.8 million at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas.

The enforcement action occurred on Friday, September 11, 2020 when officers assigned to the cargo facility intercepted an empty trailer arriving from Mexico. The trailer was referred for a canine and non-intrusive imaging system inspection, resulting in the discovery of 92.99 pounds of methamphetamine discovered within the trailer.

The narcotics have an estimated street value of $1,859,800.

Officers seized the narcotics and the trailer. The cases were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations special agents for further investigation.
