MAN HID DRUGS IN HIS WAIST, CONSISTING OF METHAMPHETAMINE, HEROIN, AND OXYCODONE

On May 18, 2020 in El, Paso Texas at the Paso Del Norte border crossing a 24-year-old male U.S. citizen attempted to smuggle drugs that were strapped to his body.

The man arrived as a pedestrian from Mexico shortly after 6 p.m. Federal officers selected him for a secondary inspection. During this inspection, officers discovered 1.5 pounds of heroin, .05 pounds of methamphetamine, and 510 Oxycodone pills in the suspect’s waistline and pockets.

The suspect was turned over to the Department of Homeland Security to face charges for the failed smuggling attempt.
