Carlos Martinez, 27, was arrested after being accused of being in possession of a stolen rifle and methamphetamine in Charlotte, NC.
On November 8, 2019, during overnight hours, an officer observed a white Toyota Avalon near Westpark Drive.
The vigilant officer noted several suspicious indicators about the vehicle and began to survey it from a distance.
During the surveillance, probable cause was developed and a traffic stop was made on the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, officers developed reason to search the vehicle and located two rifles (one of which was stolen), a pistol, methamphetamine, and a substantial amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.
Martinez was charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession with the intent to sell/deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon, and resist/delay/obstruct a law enforcement officer.
