$240,000 IN MARIJUANA INTERCEPTED AT UNITED STATES PORT OF ENTRY

Federal officers at the Laredo Port of Entry in Texas seized marijuana worth over $240,000 while conducting enforcement operations.

On May 7, 2020 at the World Trade Bridge, federal officers assigned to the cargo facility encountered a tractor and empty trailer arriving from Mexico. The 1998 Ford Sterling trailer was referred for a canine and non-intrusive imaging system inspection, resulting in the discovery of 341 packages containing 1,205.04 pounds of marijuana concealed within the trailer. 

Customs seized the narcotics worth $241,007 in estimated street value.
