A child was killed at Charlotte apartments during an overdose
On April 15, 2026 a 2-year-old child was killed in Charlotte, NC on Westpark Drive at an apartment complex. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The kid got a hold of drugs accidentally and ingested them some kind of way. The kid went into shock and unconsciousness.
911 was called and the child was transported to Atrium Health Main Hospital where he was later pronounced dead just before 10 p.m.
The investigation is still active and ongoing. No details have been released on what led to the medical emergency, and no arrests have been made at this time.
