A suspect approached Malik and shot him multiple times near a residence. Paramedics arrived and tried to revive the victim, but Malik died at the scene. Malik has several young children. He recently had a vacation in Florida with his family.
A mother of Malik’s kids died in a separate situation prior to Malik’s murder.
Malik made a social media post in May 2022 that said,
“In my head I keep hearing stay down, stay down.”
