The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations conducted a prostitution buy bust operation called ‘Summer Special’, which targeted potential prostitution clients in North Carolina on August 14, 2019.
Some of the arrests included a Harvard educated professor, a medical examiner & paramedic, and a girl’s soft ball coach.
Jason Fine, is a professor of biostatistics at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Jason faces a misdemeanor charge of solicitation of prostitution. So apparently everything is not ‘fine’. Jason is a Harvard-educated professor. Jason has tenure in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at UNC Chapel Hill.
Richard Edinger, is a EMS worker and was charged with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution and had a $500 bond. Richard is also a part-time medical examiner in Alamance County, NC.
Jesse Carty is a girl’s fast pitch softball coach out of Reidsville, NC, he was charged with misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution. In addition to working as a softball coach, Jesse owns the Renegades Training Center in Reidsville, NC.
14 men were arrested in the ‘Summer Special’ joint operation. Officials say the operation targeted people involved in the commercial sex industry. The 14 men arrested were described as potential clients and charged with solicitation of prostitution.
Several women were arrested in a prostitution sting just last week in Charlotte, NC. One of the women arrested happens to be a former singer that appeared in music videos.
