5th GRADE GIRL DIES FROM SCHOOL FIGHT IN SOUTH CAROLINA, AIR LIFTED TO HOSPITAL

The victim is identified as RaNiya Wright, she was a student at Forest Hills Elementary School.

RaNiya died on Wednesday morning March 27, 2019.

The fight occurred on Monday, March 25th, 2019 at Forest Hills Elementary School. Little RaNiya’s injuries were so severe that she had to be airlifted to Medical University of South Carolina for treatment after the Monday fight.

County School District officials say the other student has been suspended indefinitely. The cause and nature of the fight is unclear.

Sweet little RaNiya was unresponsive and in critical condition since Monday.

“We are devastated by this news, and we want our communities to keep their thoughts and prayers with the student’s family at this time,”

a spokesperson wrote on the school district’s website.

The school district has temporarily deactivated its Facebook page
