Andrew McCullough, 39, was arrested on June 30, 2021 in Dallas, NC after authorities say they found images and videos of child pornography on his phone.
An investigation began after officials received a cyber tip regarding Andrew. The tip involved the solicitation/enticement of a minor over the internet using Facebook Messenger.
Police obtained a search warrant for the home of Andrew. During the search, detectives say they seized electronic storage devices that had images and videos containing child pornography. Authorities say that forensic examinations were performed on the devices.
Warrants were issued for Andrew’s arrest.
The suspect was arrested and charged with two felony counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a child, two felony counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a child, and one felony count of solicitation of a child by computer/electronic device to commit an unlawful sex act.
The Department of Homeland Security assisted in this investigation.
