On July 5, 2021, Barbara was hit by a car on Hoskins Mill Lane at an apartment complex parking lot while she was on foot. The driver of the vehicle kept going.
The time of impact was around 4:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck. Barbara was located on the pavement hurting and badly injured.
Medic treated Barbara on scene and took her to the hospital.
