Ashiiqullah Afghan, 33, was arrested on November 24, 2024 accused of hitting his wife Fatima Afghan in the head with a drinking glass at an apartment on Reddman Road Charlotte, NC. The married couple have 6 young kids.
The alleged encounter was on November 24, 2024. Fatima had just finished making breakfast. Ashiiqullah was eating the food with his family, the suspect asked Fatima to pass the salt.
Fatima refused, and Ashiiqullah is accused of picking up a drinking glass and hitting Fatima in the back of her head in front of their 6 children. The impact was so hard that the glass shattered on Fatima.
The children were scared and in shock. Fatima had a bloody laceration to the back of her head and had to be taken to the hospital. Domestic violence encounters happen quite a bit, and sometimes they are deadly.
