Dr. Yue Yu, 45, is accused of pouring Drano pipe liquid into her husband’s lemonade in Irving, CA. Dr. Jack Chen, 53, is Yue’s husband. Dr. Yue is a dermatologist doctor and Dr. Jack is an radiologist doctor. Dr. Yue was arrested on August 4, 2022.
Dr. Yue and Dr. Chen were married for 10 years. In July 2022 Dr. Chen began feeling sick and grew suspicious that his wife was poisoning him.
Dr. Chen set up a hidden camera in the kitchen, and video proved Dr. Yue was pouring Drano pipe liquid in his lemonade. On August 4, 2022 Dr. Chen went to police to show them the footage.
Upon the Drano ingestion Dr. Chen was diagnosed with Gastritis, he also had throat swelling.
Dr. Yue was arrested and booked at the Orange County Jail.
Dr. Chen sustained significant internal injuries but is expected to recover. Dr. Chen filed for divorce and a restraining order against Dr. Yue on the same day of her arrest. The couple have 2 children ages 7 and 8.
