21-year-old Yamina Rookard plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting homicide of Jessica Smith, 29, on October 6, 2022 in Charlotte, NC.
Jessica was shot to death on October 17, 2018 on Central Avenue. Yamina was arrested on December 12, 2018 charged with the murder of Jessica. Yamina was also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
