Yessenia Sanchez, 32, was arrested on November 4, 2022 charged with shooting her boyfriend in the head in Miami, Florida. Yessesnia is an ex-cop in Florida. Her boyfriend, Officer Damian Colon is a current cop with the Miami Dade Police Department.
Yessesnia had a seven year relationship with Damian, but after tracking Damian’s GPS location to another person’s house, Yessenia allegedly went berserk on November 4, 2022.
Yessesnia arrived at the location where her boyfriend was at and she is accused of shooting him in the head.
Yessesnia left the scene and later crashed in a vehicle. Yessesnia then walked away from the accident, but dropped her wallet at the scene. Yessesnia was arrested hours later at her home.
Yessesnia was charged with attempted first degree murder with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking, and leaving the scene of an accident.
Yessesnia is a former cop with the Miami Dade Schools Police Department, she resigned in September 2021 after getting arrested on a domestic violence charge.
Damian underwent surgery and was listed in critical but stable condition.
