Surveillance video shows when Madalina got off her school bus on November 21, 2022. Madalina was last seen by her parents on November 23, 2022.
Madalina’s mother Diana Cojocari, 37, and Madalina’s stepfather Christopher Palmiter, 60, were both arrested on December 17, 2022 for failing to report Madalina missing.
In early December school officials called Diana several times to report that Madalina was not showing up for school. But Diana and Christopher did not report the girl missing until December 15, 2022.
Police said they began investigating after the parents of Madalina reported her missing on Dec. 15th to a school resource officer at Bailey Middle School.
Several lakes and rivers have been searched, but Madalina is still missing. The FBI is now helping the Cornelius Police Department in searching for the young girl.
Madalina weighs 90 pounds, she has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans, pink, purple, and white Adidas shoes, along with a white t-shirt and jacket.
