19-year-old Johntae Hudson was murdered in a wild mall shooting on December 23, 2022 right before Christmas Day. Johntae was shot and killed inside a Nordstrom during a shootout at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN.
Johntae was with a group of friends inside the mall at the Nordstrom store when another group of people began arguing and fighting with them at 7:50 p.m. During the altercation several shots were fired and Johntae was shot multiple times.
The suspects ran off. Thousands of people in the mall heard the shots and fled to stores and back areas. Multitudes of people ran for exits.
Many people were hurt. Kids were in the mall visiting fake Santa Clauses during the shooting, the kid’s gift wishes to Santa were cut short due to the shots.
Johntae died on the scene.
