On December 23, 2024 a boat exploded in the water killing 41-year-old Sebastien Gauthier and injuring 5 more people in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The boat was docked at a marina fueling up at 6 p.m. Several people were on the boat and around it. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Out of no where the boat exploded, sending people flying up into the air and falling on the dock and in the water.
The victims near the boat standing on the dock were blown back several feet from the massive blast. Sebastien was thrown into the water by the force, divers had to come in and retrieve his dead body.
Within seconds the boat became fully engulfed in flames. The five injured were taken to area hospitals. 3 of them had traumatic injuries.
