Maurice Leach was killed on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at approximately 10:07 a.m., on E. Westinghouse Boulevard Charlotte, NC.
The preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a Isuzu landscaping truck made a left turn from Rodney Street onto E. Westinghouse Boulevard.
Maurice was driving an Infinity vehicle, cops say he failed to reduce his speed and struck the left rear corner of the landscaping truck.
The collision between the two vehicles caused the Infinity to cross into oncoming traffic, striking a Ford van head on.
The landscaping truck had rear damage, the Infinity had heavy front end damage along with the Ford van.
All drivers were transported to Atrium Health Main Hospital with serious injuries. Maurice was pronounced deceased at the hospital due to injuries he sustained from the crash.
