Carlos was arrested on October 12, 2025 after a car accident killed Nixon. Carlos was driving a vehicle when it collided with another car occupied by Nixon.
Nixon died on impact. Carlos was injured and sustained facial injuries. Carlos was bleeding profusely from the wreck. Carlos was admitted to the hospital for treatment, once released Carlos was arrested charged with felony death by vehicle.
In court Carlos pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter and two counts of felony injury by vehicle.
Judge McKnight sentenced him to 13-25 months in prison; that sentence was suspended pending his successful completion of 36 months of supervised probation. As a condition of the probation, Carlos must serve a split sentence of 104 days in jail.
