On June 6th at midnight Tristan was driving a 2018 Chevy truck with 5 other teens in it including Eamon. The truck lost control and flipped upside down. Eamon was thrown out of the truck from the impact of the collision, his head busted through the glass and knocked him unconscious.
Multiple teenagers were seen climbing out of the truck. EMS arrived on scene and saw Eamon bleeding heavily and dead. Chest compressions and resuscitative efforts were made on Eamon but he was pronounced deceased on scene. The other teens were injured and taken to the hospital.

Tristan’s eyes were blood shot red and he smelled like alcohol. Tristan told cops on scene that he had consumed two Twisted Tea alcoholic drinks.

Tristan later provided two breath samples on a portable breath test, which yielded results of 0.14 blood alcohol in his system, court documents say. The defendant was later read his implied consent rights and consented to a blood draw on scene. Mecklenburg County Medical Personnel, authorized to do so, completed a blood draw.
Tristan was then arrested charged with DWI, drinking under 21, and death by vehicle. Eamon was on the soccer team at Hough High School. Counselors are available at the school for student grief.
