A birthday party led to the death of a 4-year-old girl, her mother was arrested accused of being distracted on phone and knocking down beers during daughter’s death
Rosette Pierrecius, 32, was arrested on May 10, 2026 after her 4-year-old daughter died in her custody from drowning in a swimming pool at a birthday party in Bradenton, FL.
The girl died on May 9, 2026 during a birthday party. The girl was in a swimming pool and could not swim. The girl wandered in the water and became submerged in the deep end of the pool. Roswtte was using a cell phone at the time of her daughter’s death.
The girl was at the bottom of the pool and was not discovered for nine minutes. Surveillance video showed the child entering the pool at about 8:52 p.m. ET and dip beneath the surface about three minutes later.
Another adult saw the child at the bottom of the pool and pulled her out at 9:04 p.m. Roswtte told police she had drank six beers at the party. Roswtte was arrested charged with child neglect causing great bodily harm.
