Deans Italian Steakhouse scored an 87 B on a recent food health inspection. Deans Italian Steakhouse is located at 128 East Brooklyn Village Ave. Charlotte, NC. On April 10, 2026 health department inspectors came to the restaurant and noted multiple violations.
The manager did not have knowledge of foodborne illnesses or the health policy. A employee handled raw meats in the ready to eat prep area and then went to handle clean equipment; the employee also prepared ready to eat foods after touching the raw meat without properly changing gloves or washing hands.
An employee at Deans Italian Steakhouse wiped their nose and then went to go stock fresh food without washing hands. Another employee dropped food on the floor, picked the food off of the floor, and then continued to prepare food without washing hands.
An employee grabbed a ready to eat shallot with bare hands instead of using gloves. Dishes were being washed with just water and no sanitizer.
A can opener was heavily soiled with old food debris. Chicken, meatballs, picatta sauce and tomato sauce were without time stamps.
