3RD SUSPECT ARRESTED IN DAYTIME HOMICIDE

Marquel Coleman, 26, is the third suspect arrested in a recent Charlotte, NC murder. Marquel was arrested on January 22, 2026 charged with the murder of Graham Bennett, 31. The first 2 suspects arrested were Zacariya Smith, 19, and Malik Rose, 24.

Graham was murdered in a shooting on October 18, 2025 on Park Fairfax Drive. Graham was shot in the afternoon and he died on scene. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Months later on Jan. 20, 2026 Zacariya and Malik were arrested charged with murder, robbery, and conspiracy.

And then on Jan 22nd Marquel was arrested in Rockwell, NC accused of the murder.
