26-year-old Midaina Marrero Carroll was killed on August 16, 2024 on West Summit Avenue Charlotte, NC. Midaina was hit by a train. Midaina was enlisted in the United States Army. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Midaina was walking on the train tracks at 9:18 a.m. An approaching train spotted Midaina walking on the tracks and sounded the horn, the train tried to stop, but could not stop in time.
Midaina stayed on the tracks and was hit by the train. Her blood splattered on the tracks and on the train, parts of her body was chopped up from the steel frame of the train and the axles.
Midaina died on impact, she was dismembered. It is not known yet if this was a suicide attempt by Midaina or an accident of some sort where she was stuck on the tracks. Train deaths and shootings occur often, take a look, click here.
Midaina graduated from Kingstree High School in South Carolina in 2017. Midaina then went to Francis Marion University, she also joined the United States military, enlisting with the Army.
