CLAYTON WILCOX RESIGNS AS SUPERINTENDENT OF CHARLOTTE MECKLENBURG SCHOOLS

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) Superintendent Clayton Wilcox is out of a job at CMS.

Clayton only spent two years on the job. He made a wealthy six figure salary. Clayton was recently suspended by the Board of Education over his handling of not requiring new CMS employees to have their fingerprints processed. Board of Education policy requires new hires to have their fingerprints processed.

Clayton will resign effective Aug. 2, 2019 CMS officials said at a special Friday morning meeting.
