Keon Hunter, 22, admitted to robbing the Botanica La Reyna, a business located on North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC.
On September 10, 2019 two male suspects entered the business and stole money. As the suspects were trying to leave, an employee confronted them and grabbed one of the suspects. The suspect shoved the victim away and then the suspects ran from the scene.
One of the suspects was quickly identified as Keon Hunter. Keon was on electronic monitoring at the time of the robbery. Detectives were able to place him at the scene of the crime and he was immediately tracked down and arrested inside another business located just a few blocks away. The second suspect got away.
Keon subsequently confessed to the crime.
Keon Hunter has a lengthy criminal history. He was placed on electronic monitoring after being arrested in August 2019.
