25-year-old Jean Trevor Caldwell-Thompson was arrested on multiple charges following a recent traffic stop.
On February 11, 2020, at approximately 2:50 a.m., a uniformed officer in Charlotte, NC was actively patrolling the Druid Hills Neighborhood in a marked patrol vehicle when he observed three vehicles parked side-by-side.
Upon seeing the officer, all vehicles quickly drove away. One of the vehicles was observed speeding above the posted limit and a traffic stop was initiated on North Graham Street.
At the onset of the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle identified himself as Jean Caldwell-Thompson. While speaking with Jean, officers allegedly observed illegal narcotics inside his vehicle and requested that he exit the vehicle.
Jean is accused of refusing officers instructions and he allegedly kicked a officer several times in the chest.
Jean, who is a convicted felon, also has a prior conviction for Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Jean is charged with Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale of Narcotics, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Sell/Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon – Felony, Assault on a Government Official, and Resist Public Officer.
