The Coronavirus is annoying, now kids who are out of school for two weeks don’t have much to do because several malls across the United States are closing due to the virus.

Concord Mills, SouthPark Mall, and the Charlotte Premium Outlets are closing effective 7 PM March 18, 2020. Simon Properties owns the aforementioned, Simon Properties is temporarily closing all malls they own across the United States.

The closings come after several department stores from Macy’s, J.C. Penney to Nordstrom and other mall brands including Gap, Victoria’s Secret and Sephora announced they are also temporarily closing locations.

See here how a woman was arrested after being accused of stealing from Macy’s in 2019

David Simon, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Simon released this statement:

“The health and safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees is of paramount importance and we are taking this step to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus in our communities.”
