One person is dead following a shooting inside the Holiday Inn Express located at 9420 East Independence Blvd. Matthews, NC. The shooting was on Sunday morning June 7, 2020 moments after midnight.
Matthews Police responded to the Holiday Inn Express after receiving a call that shots had been fired. When they arrived, they found two men inside who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital where one man later died.
No arrests have been made at the moment.
