NORTH CAROLINA POLICE CHIEF TESTS POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Chief, Johnny Jennings has been infected with the Coronavirus. On December 8, 2020 Chief Jennings received confirmation that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The Chief immediately quarantined himself at home several days ago after learning that he had been exposed to the virus.

Chief Jennings is feeling a bit fatigued. He will conduct department meetings from home. Jennings says the daily CMPD operations will resume without interruption and be carried out by members of the executive staff.

A judge in Charlotte has also been infected with the Coronavirus. Chief District Court Judge Elizabeth Trosch tested positive for COVID-19 on December 4, 2020.
