39-year-old Harold Broome, 39, was sentenced to 181 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release on March 3, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. Harold was convicted for conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine.
In 2019 law enforcement learned that Harold was selling large quantities of cocaine in the Charlotte area. In April 2019, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Harold’s residence, seizing more than five kilograms of powder cocaine, over two pounds of marijuana, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, and over $36,000 in cash.
Harold engaged in drug trafficking activities while on supervised release for a previous federal drug conviction. Harold was arrested on state drug charges and was subsequently released on bond.
In December 2019, a federal indictment charged Harold with new drug offenses and an arrest warrant was issued. In January 2020 Harold was arrested again; at the time of his arrest, Harold was continuing to traffic narcotics and was found in possession of bulk cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana.
Subsequent to his arrest, Harold pleaded guilty to a federal superseding indictment, enlarging the scope of his drug trafficking conspiracy.
