Selvin Yovani Lara-Reyes, 29, was shot and killed on March 31, 2021, at apartments on Oak Meadow Court Charlotte, NC. Mario Monroy, 18, is charged with Selvin’s murder.
Around midnight Mario is accused of breaking into a woman’s home and injuring a 7-year-old boy and assaulting an adult woman. A struggle ensued and Mario is accused of shooting and killing Selvin.
Selvin died on the scene. Mario was arrested within the hour and charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, and felony breaking and entering.
