BOB EVANS RESTAURANT GETS 88 B SCORE DURING FOOD SAFETY INSPECTION

Date:

The Bob Evans restaurant located at 9253 Statesville Rd. Charlotte, NC scored an 88 B in a health safety inspection on April 20, 2021.

A manager attempted to use a dirty slicer that still had food debris on it, all in front of the inspector. Also, the ice machine had dirty black build-up in it. The carrots had to be discarded due to them being out of temperature. Tomatoes were double stacked in the cold station above 41F. Cold foods are suppose to be below 41F.

The dish machine water was below temperature, only reaching 156F after several washes. The rinse water is required to be at 180F for proper sanitation. Additionally, the dish machine was leaking water onto the floor because the drain was not properly located over it. The 3-comp sink was also leaking, into a bucket.
