On the night of April 21, 2021 one person was shot on Albemarle Road in the parking lot of a Food Lion grocery store. A robbery of some sort was occurring between 2 people, and shots were fired. Paramedics confirmed that one person was shot and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
The victim is in critical condition.
