FENTANYL WORTH $384,000 FOUND ON BUS

Fentanyl is the silent killer. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized fentanyl in one enforcement action that totaled over $384,600. The seizure occurred on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge in Laredo, Texas. 

A bus arriving from Mexico was receiving a secondary examination. Following a canine and non-intrusive imaging system examination, officers discovered a total of six packages containing 28.26 pounds of fentanyl concealed within the bus. 

Thousands of deaths have been blamed on fentanyl.   

A 42-year-old male passenger, a United States citizen, was interviewed in relation to the fentanyl discovery, resulting in his detention.

The narcotics had an estimated street value of $384,600.

Customs and Border Protection seized the narcotics. The passenger was arrested, and the case was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations special agents for further investigation.

18-year-old Hailey Deickman died on May 18, 2021 in Belle Chasse, Louisiana after she took a Percocet pill that had a fatal dose of fentanyl in it.
