SUSPECT ARRESTED IN WEEKEND HOMICIDE, WAS RESULT OF ROBBERY

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have charged Carlton Hancock, 47, (Seen here) with the murder of 56-year-old Brian Carriker. Carlton is accused of shooting Brian on Tinnin Avenue during a robbery.

The murder occurred on November 18, 2018 at 1 a.m.

Later on the same day, detectives developed information on the whereabouts of Carlton. Detectives collaborated with the Greensboro Police Department, High Point Police Department and the NC SBI to arrest Carlton.

Carlton was charged with Murder, Assault by Strangulation, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Motor Vehicle Theft.
