On January 10, 2020 27-year-old Devin Jacobs and 19-year-old Edwin Herrera were arrested in the matter.
On the day of the robbery multiple suspects approached off-duty Officer Bishop and her husband, attempting to rob them at gunpoint in the parking lot of 7920 Waterford Tide Loop Charlotte, NC.
Officer Bishop subsequently produced her department issued service weapon and fired the weapon. The suspects returned fire before fleeing the location.
A 17-year-old juvenile male suspect was injured during the exchange and was transported to the hospital and faced charges.
Devin and Edwin are accused of running from the location and getting away. On January 10 they were arrested and charged with several violent offenses.
