FACEBOOK CELL PHONE DEAL ENDS IN ROBBERY FOR A WOMAN

Terrence Greene, 19, is accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint following a fake Facebook Marketplace purchase of a cell phone.

On June 5, 2019, an armed robbery 911 call was made at Riding Trail Road Charlotte, NC. The victim advised she was meeting someone to purchase a phone that was advertised for sale on Marketplace through Facebook. The victim was with two other people when they were robbed at gunpoint and the alleged suspect fled the scene.

Based on information and evidence that was collected during the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect and issue a warrant for his arrest.

On June 13, the Crime Reduction Unit located and arrested Terrence. He is charged with three counts of Armed Robbery and three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
