Boston Red Sox super star player David Ortiz was shot on June 9, 2019 in the Dominican Republic during a robbery.

David Ortiz’s father Leo Ortiz says that David was shot and wounded at an amusement center in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. David was shot in the lower back. Ortiz won 3 World Series Championships with the Boston Red Soxs, he also was on 10 All-Star teams.
