Freddy Cortes, 20, Hezekiah Hairston, 19, Angel Gusman-Hernandez, 21, and Reshawn Cook, 21, have all been charged with robbery and kidnapping related charges following a October 16, 2019 alleged encounter in Charlotte, NC.
On October 16, at around 12:55 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Regal Estate Lane in reference to a home invasion where the victims were robbed. Upon arrival, the victims advised that three unknown suspects wearing masks entered the residence with a firearm pointed at the victims.
The suspects robbed them of cash, marijuana, and a PlayStation before fleeing from the scene in a vehicle.
Detectives from the Real Time Crime Center identified Hezekiah on electronic monitoring and placed him at the incident location during the time of the home invasion.
The Crime Reduction Unit was able to locate Hezekiah and an unoccupied vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that fled the scene at an apartment located on Tara Lane. A PlayStation, mask and marijuana were also located in the apartment. Freddy, Reshawn, and Angel were allegedly with Hezekiah when he was located.
All suspects were arrested and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Breaking and Entering, 2nd Degree Kidnapping and Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery.
