3 CHARGED IN CITY WIDE ROBBERY SPREE

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit have charged Jade Dulin, 22, Jarod Starks, 29, and Terrance Morgan, 26, with robbery related offenses for a series of armed robberies and carjackings. 

The suspects were caught on the morning of Friday November 16. Police located a vehicle matching the description of the armed robbery suspects near Eastway Drive and Shamrock Drive. Officers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle failed to stop. A pursuit ensued and the vehicle came to a stop on Statesville Avenue near I-85. Officers determined that the vehicle involved in the pursuit, a 2012 Nissan Maxima, was reported stolen from Nation Ford Road on November 7, 2018.

On November 7, 2018, at 8:26 a.m., on Nations Ford Road the suspects took a man’s 2012 Nissan Maxima without permission.

On the same day at 10:47 p.m., the suspects robbed a civilian on Shamrock Drive at gunpoint.

Less than an hour later at 11:26 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery on Tara Lane. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a suspect brandished a weapon and demanded money from the victim. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle that was occupied by two other people.

Hours later on November 8, 2018 at 3:34 a.m., the crooks robbed a victim at the PLS Check Cashing business on South Tryon. The criminals approached the male victim and displayed firearms and took money from the victims control. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle occupied by two other people.

Still running strong the trio robbed again at 4:52 a.m., on Parkwood Avenue. Officers were advised that a suspect brandished a weapon and demanded personal property.

Things heated up on November 11, 2018 as the suspects actually fired a shot during a robbery at 7:08 p.m. The armed suspects approached a victim and took property. The suspect fired a shot as he fled the scene in a vehicle.

On November 14, 2018 at 6:11 p.m., North Tryon Division Officers responded to an armed robbery in the 4400 block of North Tryon Street.  The victim advised he was returning to his vehicle when the suspect approached him armed with a crowbar and demanded money.  The suspect left in a vehicle occupied by two other subjects.

On November 15, 2018 at 11:47 p.m., Independence Division Officers responded to an armed robbery in the 5800 block of Reddman Road. The victim was walking to her apartment when the armed suspect approached her and took her property.  The suspect fled in a vehicle.
