Paula Henson, 47, was murdered on December 20, 2021 in Charlotte, NC. Earnest Santiago, 49, is charged with the 1st degree murder of Paula. Earnest led cops on a high speed chase after Paula was shot.
The shooting was on Long Grass Court in Charlotte around 2 p.m. Emergency personnel was called after Paula was shot at a home. Paula had multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered medical aid.
Ebony Harrison, 27, shot dead at a party on Reagan Drive.
Medic responded to the scene and transported Paula to Atrium Main Hospital with life threatening injuries. Paula was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Officers were able to identify a possible suspect and relayed the suspect vehicle description to dispatch and responding officers. Officers located the suspect vehicle nearby in Charlotte and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Earnest was allegedly driving the suspect vehicle.
The suspect failed to stop, and a vehicle pursuit began. The Helicopter and Canine Units responded to assist in the vehicle pursuit, which entered into South Carolina where York County Deputies took lead of the pursuit.
The pursuit ended and Earnest allegedly fled on foot. Earnest was apprehended without further incident approximately fifteen minutes later.
Earnest is in jail custody in York County, SC awaiting extradition to Charlotte.
WOMEN KILLED IN CHARLOTTE
40-year-old Eileen Rosado was murdered recently in Charlotte.
Zenita Graham, 30, was killed on Rozzelles Ferry Road.
Jatangela Hudson, 29, was shot and killed at apartments.
30-year-old Tyrena Inman was killed at an Extended Stay motel.
